Elliot Fox from Naples, Florida has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Division II Rollins College beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.
“I am unbelievably excited to announce I have signed my National Letter of Intent to continue my swimming career at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. I am so thankful for my family, friends, and coaches for helping me become the person I am today. I can’t wait to begin this new journey, Go Tars!!! ”
Fox swims for T2 Aquatics out of Naples, FL. In March, she achieved best times in the 200 (2:01.13) and 1000 (10:38.72) freestyles at the Florida Spring Senior Championships.
She continued her success into the summer and achieved numerous best times while at the Florida Summer Senior Championships. Those times included the 100 (1:03.10), 200 (2:12.50), 400 (4:35.07), 800 (9:29.37), and 1500 (18:20.33) freestyles as well as the 100 (1:10.07) and 200 (2:28.94) backstrokes.
Fox began her senior year this fall at Gulf Coast High School in Naples, FL.
Her best short course yards times are:
- 200 freestyle: 2:01.13
- 500 freestyle: 5:09.50
- 1000 freestyle: 10:38.72
- 1650 freestyle: 18:20.17
Rollins College is a private college located in Winter Park, Florida. The school is a member of the Sunshine Conference.
The 2021 Sunshine State Conference Championships did not occur due to COVID-19, but in 2020, the team finished third out of seven teams. Based on her best times, Fox is just off what it took to score. It took times of 18:12.03 in the 1650 freestyle and 5:08.30 in the 500 freestyle.
The team has a strong distance freestyle group led by current senior Sydney Willis who earned a third place finish in the 500 freestyle and seventh in the 1650 freestyle at the 2020 Sunshine State Conference Championships. The distance group is also led by current junior Jillian Hughes who finished fourth in the 1650 freestyle and ninth in the 500 freestyle.
Fox will arrive on campus next fall as a member of the class of 2026 along with Brooke Postell, Katie Canty, Carly Yeagle, Kassy McCoy, and Dylan Beeson.
