October is almost over, and November is almost here meaning we are getting closer to closer to midseason meets. Yay who is excited to see fast swimming!!!!???
Unlike last week, not all of the top teams are competing this weekend as Virginia, Texas, and NC State have the week off of competition. There are much fewer power five meets this weekend and more mid-major meets.
Highlighting the weekday meets is Georgia vs Florida. The Gators are coming off of swimming Virginia where the men captured a win. The Gators will have to recover quickly as they race Georgia Friday morning. Georgia is coming off wins over Florida State this past weekend.
Also highlighting this week’s schedule is a two day dual meet between Virginia Tech and Ohio State. Notably, the Ohio State men were ninth and the Virginia Tech men were 11th at NCAAs last year. This will be our first look at Ohio State as they have not competed yet this season. The men’s team for Ohio State will be without US Tokyo Olympian Hunter Armstrong as he now trains at Cal. The Ohio State women are coming off of a very fast long course summer highlighted by Amy Fulmer.
