Swim Job: JCC of Greater Baltimore seeks Assistant Age Group Swim Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

JCC of Greater BaltimoreIn order to keep up with the growth of our team, the JCC Swimming (the USA Swimming team at the Baltimore JCC) is looking for an Age Group coach with at least 2 – 3 years of experience. Primary responsibility would be for swimmers ages 9 – 14. This is a part-time position with hours primarily Monday – Thursday evenings and 2 – 3 weekends per month for meets. Coaches need to be available to meet 2 – 3 times per year with parents and athletes in appropriate planning and performance conferences. Additional teaching hours may be available for those possessing American Red Cross Instructor certifications.

• USA Swimming coaching certification required; must have completed all certifications (and the must be currently up-to-date) prior to employment.
• Background checks from both USA Swimming and fingerprinting/ background check through the State of Maryland are required for this position.

Founded in 2007, JCC Swimming is a USA Swimming Level 3 team with training sites in Owings Mills, MD (Northwest Baltimore County) and northern Baltimore City. Our swim school conducts approximately 4500 units of training (one swimmer in one set of 8 swim lessons) annually.
