NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Nine different members of the Yale University women’s swimming and diving team claimed an individual event, along with a pair of relays, in a 225-44 victory over Southern Connecticut State University.
Key Results
- The 200 medley relay of Alex Massey, Devyn Sargent, Jessey Li and Ele Donegan finished first in 1:44.39.
- Lilly Derivaux captured first place in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:13.17.
- Caroline McCurdy posted a first place showing in the 150 freestyle (1:23.28). She also finished first in the 50 freestyle (24.58).
- Sara Plunkett had a time of 26.57 in the 50 backstroke to lead the way in that event.
- Sargent secured a first place effort in the 50 breaststroke (30.54). She also finished first in the 150 backstroke with a time of 1:29.39.
- Donegan swam to a time of 1:30.88 in the 150 butterfly to earn first place in that event. She also won the 50 butterfly in 25.83.
- Quinn Murphy outpaced the field in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.34.
- Delilah Skaistis collected first place in the 150 breaststroke (1:46.15).
- Li posted a time of 4:31.55 in the 400 individual medley to take the top spot in that event.
- The 200 freestyle relay of McCurdy, Plunkett, Murphy and Massey won that event in 1:36.70.
- Paige Lai registered first place on both boards during Wednesday’s diving action. She scored a 282.45 on the one-meter board and a 302.55 on the three-meter board.
The Bulldogs return to action on Jan. 10-11 for an Ivy League meet against Penn and Dartmouth.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale University men’s swimming and diving team registered first place finishes from 11 different individual student-athletes, along with two relay tandems, in a 230.50-49.50 victory over Southern Connecticut State University.

- The 200 medley relay of Lucius Brown, Alexander Hazlett, Nick Finch and Nareg Minassian claimed first place in 1:28.59.
- Arshak Hambardzumyan led the field in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:39.05.
- Jose Cano registered a first place effort in the 150 freestyle (1:13.02).
- Noah Millard raced to a time of 22.66 in the 50 backstroke to claim that event. Millard also finished first in the 100 freestyle (44.06).
- Alex Brehm captured first place in the 50 breaststroke (26.02).
- Elliot Lee collected first place in the 150 butterfly with a time of 1:19.11. He also won the 400 individual medley in 4:03.45.
- Hazlett sprinted to a top performance in the 50 freestyle (20.76).
- Christian Lee registered a time of 1:22.83 in the 150 backstroke to claim that event.
- Alex Deng notched first place in the 150 breaststroke (1:27.09).
- Finch posted a first place effort in the 50 butterfly with a time of 21.53.
- Hammer Massey, Brown, Mak Nurkic Kacapor and Jake Wang won the 200 freestyle relay (1:23.11).
- Ray Wipfli collected first place on the one-meter board during Wednesday’s diving action with a score of 311.48.
- Nicholas Chau accumulated a score of 348.38 on the three-meter board to take first place in that event.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut women’s swimming and diving team lost to Yale, 225 to 44. Justice Glasgow had a second-place finish in the 50 Yard Butterfly for the Owls.
200 Yard Medley Relay
Southern Connecticut’s 200 Medley Relay “B” team consisting of Arianna Arturi, Emma St. Hilaire, Ella Marzec, and Lindsay McCawley were the top finishers for the Owls earning two points with a time of 1:56.16.
500 Yard Freestyle
Paola Castillo came in third in the 500 Free with a time of 5:27.25 earning three points. Aralyn Vogel and Reina Loiacano also earned points for the Owls. Vogel finished fourth with a time of 5:31.68 for two points and Loiacano finished fifth with a time of 5:47.54 for a point.
150 Yard Freestyle
In the 150 Free, Molly Kennedy came in third with a time of 1:26.83 for three points. Jasmine Uricchio finished fifth with a time of 1:30.90 earning a point.
50 Yard Backstroke
Finishing fourth in the 50 Back was Hailey Nyquist with a time of 29.53 to earn two points. Sara Roney finished with a time of 29.97 for fifth place, earning one point.
50 Yard Breaststroke
Arianna Arturi came in third place in the 50 Breast with a time of 32.62 earning her team three points. Abby Lyons finished fifth with a time of 34.80 earning a point.
150 Yard Butterfly
In the 150 Fly, Kali Dominguez was the top finisher for the Owls coming in fourth with a time of 1:46.19 earning two points. Abbey Piech earned a point finishing in fifth place with a time of 1:46.74.
50 Yard Freestyle
Ally Quitos came in fourth earning two points in the 50 Free with a time of 26.25. Sierra DuCharme finished with a time of 27.16 for fifth place and earning a point.
100 Yard Freestyle
Coming in fourth in the 100 Free was Julia Pitchell with a time of 58.26 for two points. Nyquist finished with a time of 1:00.73 for fifth earning a point.
150 Yard Backstroke
Ella Marzec came in fourth in the 150 Free with a time 1:38.66 earning two points. Brooke Keeney earned a point coming in fifth with a time of 1:40.60.
150 Yard Breaststroke
In the 150 Breast, Quitos finished fourth earning two points with a time of 1:52.02. Emma St. Hilaire placed fifth with a time of 1:54.06 for a point.
50 Yard Butterfly
Justice Glasgow took second place in the 50 Fly with a time of 26.59 earning four points. Marzec finished fifth with a time of 27.43 to earn a point.
400 Yard Individual Medley
Kennedy was the top finisher for the Owls in the 400 IM coming in fourth with a time of 4:54.11 for two points. Lindsay McCawley earned a point finishing with a time of 4:56.82 for fifth.
200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Owls 200 Free Relay “A” team consisting of Brooke Keeney, Aralyn Vogel, Molly Kennedy, and Abbey Piech finished in third place with a time of 1:44.75 for two points.
The Owls are back home tomorrow at 4 p.m. as they take on Northeast-10 Conference opponent, Pace.

Southern Connecticut’s 200 Medley Relay “A” team of McAllistar Milne, Kobe Dominguez, Henry Velazquez, and Travis Scott came in fourth with a time of 1:39.96 to earn two points.
500 Yard Freestyle
Kris Janney finished the 500 Free with a time of 5:06.07 for fourth place to get two points. Ben Frazer earned a point finishing in fifth with a time of 5:09.42.
150 Yard Freestyle
In the 150 Free, Franklin Kuhn came in fourth with a time of 1:19.48 for two points. Drew Ladner finished with fifth with a time 1:19.55 earning a point.
50 Yard Backstroke
Adam Fred finished with a time of 25.42 in the 50 Back for fourth place and earning two points. Milne earned a point coming in fifth with a time of 25.69.
50 Yard Breaststroke
In the 50 Breast, Kobe Dominguez finished second with a time of 27.11 earning four points. Travis Scott came in fifth with a time of 29.84 earning a point.
150 Yard Butterfly
Henry Velazquez finished fourth in the 150 Fly with a time of 1:26.57 for two points. Jacob Tanner finished behind him coming in fifth with a time of 1:32.29 for a point.
50 Yard Freestyle
In the 50 Free, Jack Fry was the top finisher for the Owls coming in third with a time of 22.26 earning three points. Travis Scott earned a point coming in fifth with a time of 23.57.
100 Yard Freestyle
Ben Frazer came in fourth in the 100 Free with a time of 48.65 earning two points. Nick Zerva finished with a time of 52.38 for fifth place earning a point.
150 Yard Backstroke
Adam Fred was the top finisher for the Owls in the 150 Back, tying a Yale swimmer for third with a time of 1:27.21 earning 2.50 points. Austin Roney came in fifth with a time of 1:30.61 for a point.
150 Yard Breaststroke
Frazer came in fourth with a time of 1:46.27 in the 150 Breast for two points. Janney came in fifth earning a point with a time of 1:46.37.
50 Yard Butterfly
In the 50 Fly, Dominguez came in fourth with a time of 24.49 earning two points. Drew Ladner finished fifth wih a time of 24.70 for a point.
400 Yard Individual Medley
Milne was the top finisher for the Owls in the 400 IM coming in third with a time of 4:10.90 for three points. Tanner earned a point coming in fifth with a time of 4:41.58.
200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Owls 200 Free Relay “A” team of Drew Ladner, Franklin Kuhn, Henry Velazquez, and Jack Fry came in third earning two points with a time of 1:29.23.
1 Meter Diving
Elliott Speckhard scored 232.28 in the 1 Meter for fourth place earning two points. JT Tressel came in fifth scoring 231.30 to earn a point.
3 Meter Diving
In the 3 Meter event, Speckhard scored 210.98 for third place earning three points. Tressel scored 191.40 for fourth place earning two points.
The Owls are back home tomorrow at 4 p.m. as they take on Northeast-10 Conference opponent, Pace.
