Emma Clark, a current high school senior from Katy, Texas, has committed to swim for Division I University of South Dakota. Clark will graduate from Taylor High School in spring 2021 and join the Coyotes’ class of 2025.
Clark is a current swimmer for Dad’s Club Swim Team and is a Futures and Winter Juniors qualifier. At the 2020 UIL Texas 6A State Championships, Clark placed 7th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.28. She also placed 4th in the 100 backstroke (56.95) and 8th in the 200 freestyle (1:54.65) at the TAPPS Eastern Region Championships.

At the 2020 Summit League Championships with the Yotes, Clark would have been a major contributor to the team’s overall score. Most notably, she would have placed 2nd in both the 100 backstroke (56.02) and 200 backstroke (2:00.07) with her current best times. With these times, she would have been South Dakota’s fastest backstroker at that meet.
At the Summit League Championships, the Coyote women placed 2nd as a team under head coach Jason Mahowald. They also received CSCAA honors.
