Andrew Innerebner, a high school senior from Michigan, has committed to swim for Division I University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Innerebner will graduate from Sault High School spring 2020 and join the Panthers’ class of 2024.
Innerebner currently swims for Sault High School under coach Steve Habusta, Sault Competitive Aquatics Team under coach Dyke Justin and Northern Michigan Narwhals under coach Jory Jonas Clapp.

During the past three years as a competitor at Up Finals– high school state for upper Michigan– Innerebner has won all six of his individual events that he qualified. He now holds the UP records in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. He was named the Up Swimmer of 2019 and has been Sault High School swimming’s MVP 3 years running.
During his time representing the Northern Michigan Narwhals, Innerebner has placed on the podium at both Zones and Sectionals.
“I chose to swim at UW Milwaukee because I really felt a connection with the team and the coaches. The guys are all close to each other and the coaches have a great vision and purpose for their swimmers. Milwaukee’s engineering program was equally amazing. They have a lot of support and many people whose jobs are to help me be successful.”
With his current best times, Innerebner would have placed just outside of scoring finals with UW Milwaukee at the 2019 Horizon League Championships.
Innerebner will begin his swimming career at University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee beginning fall 2020.
