Payton Neff of The Woodlands, Texas has verbally committed to swim and further her education at the University of Kentucky.

Neff is a senior at The Woodlands High School and swims year-round for Magnolia Aquatic Club. She finished eighth in the 200 free (1:53.76) and sixth in the 500 free (4:57.48) at the 2016 Texas 6A State Championships, and sixth and fifth in the same events as a sophomore.
Neff wrapped up her long-course season on an up note with best times in the 200m free and 400m free at 2016 USA Swimming Futures Championships in Austin. Neff is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, was named to the all-state team in 2015, and was selected to the USA Swimming Zone Select Camp in 2014. Her top times in SCY include:
- 1650 free – 16:57.21
- 1000 free – 10:01.26
- 500 free – 4:52.74
- 200 free – 1:51.29
- 400 IM – 4:26.80
Neff will join the Kentucky Wildcats’ class of 2021 with a strong and deep group of verbal commits, including:
