TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The No. 10 Texas A&M men’s swimming and diving team opens up SEC competition with No. 17 Alabama Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Alabama Aquatic Center.
The meet is streamed online on SEC Network +, which provides events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and other connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One).
The Aggies are coming off a 190-162 win against No. 11 Louisville but fell 199-153 at No. 16 Ohio State last week in a double-dual meet. The Aggies were led by team captain Benjamin Walker who won both his individual races, the 400-yard IM (3:53.51) and the 200-yard breaststroke (1:58.73). Other double-winners were Adam Koster, who earned wins in the 100-yard freestyle (44.02) and the 200 yard freestyle (1:38.44), and diver Sam Thornton, who won 1-meter dive (358.95) and the 3-meter dive (406.15). Shaine Casas added a win in the 200-yard backstroke (1:47.36).
Alabama is 1-1 on the season, beating Delta State 213-82, and losing to No. 16 Ohio State 156-144.
