17 y.o. Anastasia Pagonis began losing her eyesight at age 11 due to a genetic autoimmune disease. At age 14, she was blind & found herself struggling emotionally. Swimming became her outlet. Our thoughts exactly.
Haha didn’t expect to see John Hunt’s face when I jumped on Swimswam today. Great guy and decent little racing tipster (if anybody likes the horses!). Think he’s on to something with this Peaty fella, too.
I heard ‘ Its coming home’refrain long before 96. I knew it had a deep emotional tag so I never asked any of the Brits here. Finally I did & yes it had to do with the 1966 plane crash that took out one of the Manchester teams & core of England talent . They were returning from playing Belgrade Red Star to defend their Europe Cup . The sentiments have rolled over to include other football emotions eg the stadium disaster & most importantly Non Wins .
