For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Halle Kuck from Aberdeen, South Dakota has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at the University of Nebraska- Omaha beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Nebraska Omaha! A huge thank you goes out to my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and staff at American College Connections for helping me get to where I am today. I feel so blessed with this opportunity and can’t wait to see where it takes me! GO MAVS!

Kuck swims for Aberdeen Swim Club out of Aberdeen, SD. This spring at the South Dakota 13 and Over Championships, she finished top eight in all of her events. Those finishes included the 50 (25.54), 100 (56.41), and 200 (2:01.00) freestyles, 100 (1:00.89) and 200 (2:15.75) backstrokes and the 100 IM (1:04.86).

She began her senior year this fall at Roncalli High School.

Her best short course times are:

  • 50 freestyle: 24.14
  • 100 freestyle: 53.16
  • 200 freestyle: 1:56.13
  • 100 backstroke: 59.58
  • 200 backstroke: 2:10.21
  • 200 IM: 2:14.16

The University of Nebraska-Omaha is a public university located in Omaha, Nebraska. The school is a member of the Summit League.

The school finished fourth out of five teams at the 2021 Summit League Championships. The team was led by current junior Carolina Gardner, who earned a third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke, fourth-place finish in the 100 IM, and a fifth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke.

Kuck’s best 50 and 100 freestyle times would have placed her highest on the team’s roster at the conference meet. This also gives her the potential to be on the team’s 200 and 400 freestyle and medley relays. Her best times would have placed her in the ‘B’ final of the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles as well as the 100 and 200 backstrokes.

Kuck will arrive on campus next fall as a member of the class of 2026 along with Rachel Shelstad and Kadence Jeffries
