Spencer Maher, a current high school senior from Naugatuck, Connecticut, has committed to swim for Division I College of the Holy Cross. Maher will graduate from Naugatuck High School in spring 2020 and join Holy Cross’s class of 2024.
Maher currently swims for Greater Waterbury YMCA and for Naugatuck High School. Earlier this year, Maher was a finalist in the 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 200 IM at NVL Finals 2020. He is also a YMCA Long Course Nationals qualifier.

At the 2020 Patriot League Championships, Maher would have been Holy Cross’s third fastest 100 butterflier and 200 IM’er with his current best times.

Holy Cross placed 9th as a team at this year’s Patriot League Championships. During the course of the meet, 8 team records fell.
