Veronique Rossouw from Pretoria, South Africa has verbally committed to the application process* at Princeton University and will head to New Jersey in the fall of 2023.

Rossouw attends Midstream College, a high school in Pretoria, and swims year-round with coach Linda de Jager at Tuks Swimming Club (University of Pretoria) under head couch Rocco Meiring. She is a multi-sport athlete, having competed in other sports for her high school before transitioning full-time to swimming in 2020. Before that, she won the South African National High School and Interprovincial Cross Country Mountain Biking Champs in 2019 for the Youth Girls category and in 2017 she was the South African Schools age group champion in the girls 800m track running.
Rossouw is a member of the South African National Junior Team. She represented South Africa at the 13th African Junior Champs in Tunisia (2018). She is a multiple National Age Group winner and still holds three NAG records in the LCM 50/100 free and 50 fly. At the 2021 South African Short Course Championships in September, she was runner-up in the 50 free (25.74), 100 free (55.99), 50 fly (27.63), 100 fly (59.87), and 200 fly (2:17.48). She also finished 6th in the 200 free (2:03.13).
