SMU Women’s Assistant Leaving Program to Pursue MBA

The SMU women’s swimming team is hiring a new assistant, according to a job listing on SMU’s official website. Applications are due by May 16th, with a note that priority consideration ‘may be given’ to submissions received by May 6th.

Few details are available about the position, though it requires just a bachelor’s degree and is a full-time role.

Former assistant Caroline Wells has confirmed to us that she is leaving the program at the end of this year. She will be out of swimming (at least temporarily, in her words) to pursue an MBA at the prestigious Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell.

Wells has been the assistant since December of 2012, and is a former school record holder at Wyoming. She was also a high performance intern for the USA Swimming National Team.
