“It was a great meet for both teams. Coming out of the winter training trip and the interim period we don’t normally swim fast. We swam better than anticipated and almost caught Rider in the end,” said Lafayette head coach James Dailey. “The last relays we swam are a testament to that. Both the women’s 200 free relay and men’s 200 free relay broke Rider’s pool records.”
“It was fun being away from the Lafayette campus for a day. We’ve been on campus most of the winter break just training. However, we are looking forward to getting classes started again,” Dailey continued. “It will be good getting back to a normal rhythm of classes, meals and training.”
The men’s swimming and diving team will compete at NJIT on Saturday at 1 p.m.
