Reed Sells from Boones Mill, Virginia has announced his verbal commitment to Towson University for the 2020-2021 season. The backstroke and butterfly specialist competes for the Virginia Gators year-round and will be joining the Tigers as a member of the class of 2024.
I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim for Towson University! After meeting the team and being on campus, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. This summer, Sells scored in the top 10 in his three main events at the ISCA Summer Senior Championship. His top finish came in the 200 back where he took 7th (2:09.82). Both his 100 back (1:01.60) and his 200 fly (2:12.76) were good for ninth.

Sells will provide immediate scoring potential in his events for Towson. At the 2019 Colonial Athletic Association Championships his 200 yard back would have scored in the A Final while his 100 yard back would have made the B final. His 200 yard fly was just off the time required to make it back in the B final.
Sells will be joining Brian Benzing, TJ Bearor, Evan Bota and Coby Ockert as members of the class of 2024.
