BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 12 Indiana completed the weekend sweep at the Indiana Classic with victories over No. 11 Pacific (8-5) and Salem (22-5). The Hoosiers improve to 12-4 overall on the season.
KEY MOMENTS
- In another top 25 battle, Indiana was led by seniors Zoe Crouch and Kallie White with a pair of goals in the first to take a 2-0 lead over the Tigers.
- Pacific tacked on three in the second, but maintaining a lead at the break was the Hoosiers who were up 4-3 thanks to two goals from freshman Louisa Downes. Senior Sophie Wazzan had back-to-back goals in the third and Indiana was able to pull off the three-goal win, 8-5. Wazzan and Downes would lead the Hoosier with two goals each in the victory.
- Four different players scored all four first quarter goals as IU jumped out to a sizeable lead after the first. It would add on another five in the second quarter including three-straight to take a 9-1 lead at the half.
- Indiana piled on seven goals in the third and another six in the fourth as it came away with the romp of the Tigers. In all, 16 different Hoosiers scored goals.
