Mityukov & Ponti Put Up Wins On Day Two Of Swiss Championships

2025 SWISS LC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last night saw day two finals unfold from the 2025 Swiss Long Course Championships with Olympic medalist Roman Mityukov in the water for two events.

24-year-old Mityuko first took on the men’s 50m back where he logged a winning effort of 25.81 as the sole sub-26-second swimmer of the field.

Behind him was Mael Allegrini who notched 26.05 while Noah Reuben Retzler rounded out the podium in 26.19.

Mityukov has been as fast as 25.11 in his career, a result he put on the books at the 2022 European Championships. Flori Lang’s national record of 24.75 remains untouched since 2009.

The men’s 100m free also saw Mityukov among its competitors, although he settled for silver in the event.

Night one’s 50m fly champion Noe Ponti was first to the wall, clocking 49.52 to hold a narrow advantage over Mityukov’s time of 49.64.

Tiago Behar was also under the 50-second barrier, turning in a mark of 49.75 for bronze.

Additional winners included Angelique Brugger getting it done for gold in the women’s 100m free (56.69) and Marius Toscan notching 4:18.67 as the men’s 400m IM victor.

52. in prelims for Ponti in the 100 fly. Evidently, he’s tired of going faster in prelims than finals.

And Mityukov went 1:55.60 in the 200 back, also very strong
