Forest Hollow Swim Club
The Forest Hollow Gators Swim Team is looking to fill the position of Head Swim Coach for the 2020 summer swim season. We are looking for an experienced coach to help strengthen and grow our team. We would like someone with previous swim experience, previous coaching experience, a great attitude, strong stroke development and technical skills, team spirit and enthusiasm. Forest Hollow competed in Division 13 during the 2019 Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL) season with a team of approximately 140 swimmers, ranging in ages from 5-18. Our new Head Swim Coach will assist us in hiring a Head Mini Gator Coach (our developmental program), as well as assistant coaches. Forest Hollow Swim Club is located in Annandale, Virginia and has a strong community of involved families and swimmers.
The Head Coach will be responsible for the following:
Help Swim Team Representative plan and coordinate Swim Team Kickoff (week after pool opens).
Prepare and conduct time trials.
Prepare for, participate in, and attend all Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL) Dual “A” Meets held on Saturday mornings, and all “B” Meets held on Monday evenings, and two – three meets held on Wednesday evenings during the swim season.
Supervise all morning practices (M-F 7:45 AM – 11:00 AM) and T/Th evening practices (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM) during the summer and evening practices before school lets out (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM).
Assist Data Coordinator and Team Representative in preparing pre-meet documentation for all NVSL Dual Meets, Relay Carnival and Divisionals with Hy-Tek software and Swimtopia.
Provide assessments of swimmer’s meet performance, including discussion of swim technique, split times, and DQ corrections. Meet sheets and swimmer participation shall be determined according to published NVSL rules.
Prepare for, support, and attend the NVSL Divisional Relay Carnival, the NVSL All Star Relay Carnival, the NVSL Divisional Championship Meet, and the NVSL Individual All Star Meet.
Attend and participate in Swim Team social functions including the Team Photo, Pep rallies, attend the end-of-season party and provide assistance with the distribution of swim awards.
The Head Coach is responsible for supervising all assistant coaches and ensuring the safety and progression of all swimmers. The Head Coach will ensure that all assistant coaches are properly prepared for all practices and meets. The Head Coach will also help determine the schedule for the assistant coaches and communicate their hours with the Team Treasurer.
Coaching during the meets. The Head Coach is responsible for running appropriate warm-ups; assisting Team Rep with appropriate scratches and substitutions in event of injury or no-shows for A meets; ensuring that entered swimmers go to Clerk of Course in a timely manner; and observing individual swims in order to provide swimmers with constructive feedback.
Head Coach should arrive at least one-half hour before start of practices to ensure pool is set up.
Ideally, previous Head Coach experience, though those with extensive assistant coach experience will be considered.
Knowledge in competitive swimming and training techniques and best practices.
Knowledge of NVSL rules and procedures.
Experience working with children and competitive level swimmers.
Knowledge of proper technique and ability to clearly communicate technique to swimmers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and coaching staff.
Experience managing swim meets and a coaching staff.
Must be certified in CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard/Water Safety and Fairfax County pool operator certificate (team will assist with obtaining if necessary).

We are looking for a personable and enthusiastic individual to join our growing company. This position will mainly be administrative and focus on customer relations and scheduling our swim lesson program. This position will also handle various other administrative tasks as needed. Schedule will vary based on needs and time of year, but the position is mainly traditional work hours. Novaquatics is a year-round swim club located in Orange County, CA serving over 1,000 athletes. We are currently looking for a coach to lead groups consisting of swimmers ages 9-12.
The athletes will primarily be those newer to the sport, but who have knowledge of all four strokes.
Responsibilities of the coach include creating and administering workouts, communicating information to families, entering/coaching swim meets, and developing our athletes for success outside the pool.

Champion’s Mojo Podcast is seeking a team player to fill an unpaid position for a 6-8 month internship in PR & Marketing. The ideal person/intern will work approximately 10 hours per week (part-time) from home in exchange for gaining experience in Sports Journalism, PR and Marketing–and having some fun working with some of the greatest champions in our sport and beyond. Intern will help with various aspects of our elite Swimming Podcast. We are a weekly 30-60 minute show that interviews Champions, many Olympic Gold Medalists, Olympic Coaches and icons in Swimming and high level performers in other industries.
Intern needs to be a self starter that is knowledgeable about competitive swimming, has excellent communication skills (written and oral), is proficient with internet marketing and social media. You’ll work with ISL Teams, College Teams and Pro Swimmers for booking interviewees on the show, promoting Champion’s Mojo on Social media, and to all swimming based organizations like USA Swimming Teams, Masters, NCAA, Swim Schools, etc. Depending on the candidate, tasks might also include editing transcriptions of interviews, working with our mailing lists, growing and expanding our brand.
Though this is an unpaid position, there will be perks such as being able to attend (via internet) interviews with Champion’s on the show and working behind the scenes and if, location appropriate, on site. This position is for the Head Coach of the Snohomish High School Girls Swim and Dive Team. The Head Coach will be responsible for the Varsity Swimmers.
