North Texas Swimming, Inc. is searching for its first ever Executive Director to oversee the day to day operations and support the growth of the sport of youth swimming in North Texas. We are looking for someone passionate about competitive swimming to serve in this newly created full time, paid position.
We would expect the new Director to support us as we reach new levels of success and serve the athletes, coaches, volunteers and parents of the North Texas Area (Known as NTSI LSC). This position will focus on magnifying the impact of our volunteers as we serve our athletes and grow our sport. • Be entirely familiar with the registration process, stay informed about changes to the process, and serve as the back‐up Registrar especially during peak seasonal times

Job Summary:
The role of the Head Coach is to develop a regionally strong competitive swim team with 120-160 swimmers while assuring growth of the team competitively and financially. The Head Coach will support the other coaches and interact often with UVAC management staff to assure coordination of swim lane usage, communication about team events, maintenance and cleaning issues, swim meet logistics, and team successes. The Head Coach must be able to promote the team through lectures, press releases and social media.

 Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Set up squad guidelines. Plan and schedule all UVAC swim team programs
  2. Set up workouts and provide technical direction to all assistant coaches
  3. Provide written evaluations of coaches and programs at the end of short and long course seasons
  4. Work with coaches to make recommendations on professional development and training (seminars, workshops, conventions)

  6. Assist and participate in non-swim team UVAC activities, open houses, fund-raisers and special events unless excused by the ED

Club: Kalispell Aquatic Team (KATS), dba Glacier Aquatic Club (GAC) is a nonprofit, parent board managed, community-based swim club. The club swims at two pools, one located in Kalispell, MT, at Logan Health Fitness Center and the other in Whitefish, MT, at The Wave.  We practice year-round and participate in USA Swimming short and long course competitions. GAC is open to swimmers of all ages and ability levels, and athletes are encouraged to make swimming a consistent part of a healthy lifestyle. We rely on strong family participation, and team parents are expected to volunteer for club duties and provide positive support to swimmers and coaches. GAC has been operating in the Flathead Valley of Montana for more than 25 years. 

Glacier Aquatic Club’s Mission is to develop and promote competitive swimming for all ages and abilities. We aim to have a unique effect on encouraging a lifestyle of health and fitness by developing athletes with high self-esteem, respect, and sportsmanship that may better serve our sport, our community of the Flathead Valley, and the State of Montana. We encourage swimmers to set challenging goals for themselves and for the team and to see themselves as accountable for reaching those goals. 

Position: GAC is currently seeking one qualified applicant to serve as the Head Coach.  GAC is an age group program with Bronze, Silver, and Gold/Senior groups. Bronze and Silver groups are primarily athletes ages 12 and younger. The Gold/Senior group is comprised of primarily athletes ages 12-18. The Head Coach will play an active role either with swimmers or coaches of all levels.    

Responsibilities: The Head Coach is responsible for leading, coaching, and overall program management of GAC in a manner consistent with the Board’s direction and agreed-on Club philosophy. This position requires a minimum of 15 hours per week pool time, both seasonal morning and year-round evening practices, and an additional 5-10 hours per week of administrative time.  

  • Always conduct a professional manner and abide by the rules of USA Swimming and facilities where the team is involved. 
  • Hold and maintain all certifications required for coaching credentials under USA Swimming coaching rules and regulations. 
  • Coordinate GAC’s competitive swim program to include participation and coordination in membership, attendance, and other administrative activities as outlined in coaching agreement. 
  • Plan and schedule GAC’s swim practices and meets for the year subject to the approval of the Board. 
  • Coordinate and support a dry land program. 
  • Assist in GAC fundraising, marketing, recruiting, team activities, and community events to promote GAC’s swim program.  
  • Schedule and run an annual Splash camp which includes coordinating pool schedules, staffing, marketing, and registration.

Job Summary:
T3i Tactical Athlete- Aquatics Coaches support the Naval Special Warfare Command by developing SEAL and SWCC candidates through rigorous physical training programming and development at the Naval Special Warfare Orientation course (NSWO) in Coronado, CA.

Coaches have daily contact with junior sailors. As such, they must adhere to the highest standards of conduct in their interaction with these sailors; and understand the student/instructor relationship, the duties of the Physical Training Instructors, and provide the experienced, professional, administrative, and technical support required to achieve the desired degree of student preparation to accomplish program goals.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop specific and tailored Aquatics programming: Swimming and treading with the guidance and support of NSWO leadership.
  • Breakdown biomechanics of swimming technique in all competitive strokes as well as combat side stroke.
  • Facilitate training modules in front of candidates in various forums to include, but not limited, to pool decks, classrooms, workout facilities, and podium lectures.
  • Teach fundamentals of swimming academic blocks, drown proofing, and underwater knot tying. Must be able to learn, teach and demonstrate all techniques.
  • Lead group stretches for injury prevention and self-myofascial release blocks of instruction.
  • Properly warm-up candidates through dynamic warm-ups and structured cool downs to prevent injury.
  • Demonstrate the points of performance for the exercises associated with the Physical Standard Test (PST), as well as ensure exercises are being performed to the established standards.
  • Prepare students for success in SEAL and SWCC selection and training pipelines by working with applicants to maximize their potential in aquatics and physical training modules. This shall include guidance and application of physical preparedness and training techniques for the PST to include, but not limited to, swim stroke development with and without fins, water confidence, running, and lower and upper body development.
  • Recommend solutions to establish and maintain database/spreadsheet records of NSWO students and their status in the Naval Special Warfare Orientation course, specifically regarding students’ performance on the PST.
  • Mentor NSWO students to increase awareness of physical standards for NSWO programs.
  • Provide medical attention to include, but not limited to, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices while awaiting EMT Paramedics on scene.
Required Skills and Experience:

  • It is desired that each Aquatics coach has a valid and current Level 3 ASCA certification as well as a USA Swimming certification.

Physical Requirements:

Position:  The Loveland Swim Club, a member of USA Swimming competitive youth swim team is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head Age Group Coach.

 

Duties:  The ideal candidate will have swim coaching experience and be an enthusiastic motivator with knowledge of the sport who is able to work well with children, and able to communicate well with the swimmers and their parents.  The candidate will be an integral contributing member of a coaching team and possess strong organizational and communication skills and is willing to take initiative to elevate the team. Candidates must be able to coach within a pre-established, yet evolving training progression for athletes. Candidates will be on deck between 12 and 15 hours per week and will coach 10+practices per week over 6 days as well as attend meets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Primary coaching responsibility is for the program’s age group swim groups, made up of swimmers between the ages of 6-12 (PM practices), other coaching assignments will be taking an active role in assisting the head coach with aspects of the senior team (some AM practices per week).
  • Develop all levels of swimmers.
  • Implement day-to-day group coaching in full alignment with team training plan.
    • Coordinate training methodology, team drills and practice group goals with age group coaches.
    • Design and oversee seasonal training plans.
    • Retain primary focus on technique, skill development, culture, and long-term athlete development.
    • Manage athlete placement/group advancement. Maintain standards/requirements to join and advance within LSC.
  • Communicate effectively with head coach.
  • Represent LSC at all swimming events and attend scheduled meets.
  • Lead, recruit, develop, and help supervise assistant coaches.
  • Maintain and update equipment and technology as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, including coordinating practice schedules and assisting with home meets.
  • Collaborate with head coach on LSC short and long-term strategic planning, including performing general administrative and office duties, such as calendaring, online marketing, maintaining communication platforms, and organizing team events.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain all required USA Swimming coach requirements. (required)
  • High school diploma (required), College degree. (preferred)
  • Competitive swimming experience. (required)
  • Swim coaching experience (required), preferably with a USA Swimming ASCA level 2 certification.
  • Experience with the Team Unify platform, and general knowledge of Hy-Tek Software, Colorado timing equipment, Microsoft Office Products and Google Drive. (preferred)
  • Driver’s license and automobile for travel. (required)
  • Ability to move heavy equipment.

Job Description:

The Club Manager is a full-time, salaried position and is responsible for leadership and management of the club’s operations and facilities. The Club Manager is responsible for ensuring the club is a healthy, safe and enjoyable experience for members and their guests. This position reports directly to a member-elected Board of Directors and manages a staff that includes an assistant manager, swim coaches and lifeguards to achieve the club’s mission and vision.

The Club Manager is fully responsible for day-to-day operations, facilities management and rental, club program support, long term maintenance projects, and change management programs and planning. To achieve this, the Club Manager must be able to manage the staff and work collaboratively with the GMCA Board and committee members . The Club Manager is responsible for managing the club’s performance against the annual budget and will be instrumental in providing input for the annual budget process with the Board. This position requires a willingness to work flexible hours, particularly during the high season (May-September), which requires more hours than the low season (Oct-Apr).

Key Responsibilities:

Personnel Management & Administration

Facilities and Pool Operations

Required Qualifications, Skills & Training:

  • Experience in leadership and/or management positions involving strategic planning.
