Description: 

The NLU Swim Coach is responsible for planning, managing and directing age group swim practices of approximately 25-30 swimmers; Specifically duties shall include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Develop daily, weekly and season practice plan – dryland too; 
  • Coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the rules, fundamentals and technique of swimming in all four strokes;
  • Maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Complete all trainings to comply with USA Swimming requirements.
  • Develop and facilitate age level appropriate practices while maintain a conducive and safe environment.

T3I Coaches assigned to the Battlefield Airmen (BA) Preparatory Course at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, provide training and development of the Air Force’s (AF) future BA, who are organized, trained, and equipped to deliver distinctive expertise in combat and other high-risk environments.  As the only AF capability specifically designed to primarily operate as surface combatants, BA directly assist, control, enable, and execute air and space-power capabilities to conduct: Joint Fires Integration, Special Operations, Personnel Recovery, Tactical Airlift Operations, and Special Weather Operations.

Selected coaches are assigned to a team that is responsible for preparing BA recruits for physical and mental success during their 12 to 24 month training pipelines.  Daily activities include instruction, demonstration, and application of physical training principles and techniques, with emphasis on body-weight exercises, functional movements, and performance under load.  Coaches have daily contact and interaction with AF trainees and senior leaders, as well as other staff members, contractors and vendors.  As such, Coaches must adhere to the highest standards of conduct throughout the course of their daily activities and apply appropriate relationships with trainees, customers, and teammates.

  • Swim Coaching experience at a competitive level (club, collegiate, or Olympic)

Job Description
The Aquatics Manager is responsible for the Aquatics Department and upholding Life Time’s Mission and Vision Statements through the Healthy Way of Life Principles. The Aquatics Manager will deliver the highest level of customer service, management, and consistency to both Members and Team Members. The Aquatics Manager and Aquatics Team Members will ensure the best department appearance with a focus on safety to achieve the best member experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities
Member Experience
•Sets the standard for the Aquatics Department by providing exceptional customer service and meeting the Members’ needs and expectations
•Plans, offers and registers Members for group and private swim lessons and programming
•Connects members to the correct program that fits their area of passion
•Ensures Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for the Members

•Responds to Member inquiries regarding Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely manner.

Sales & Promotional
•Promotes Life Time swim classes and makes appropriate class level recommendations
•Markets and promotes aquatics programs and activities in the club to increase participation
Financial & Budgetary
•Manages the aquatics department within budgetary guidelines daily
•Processes and tracks all swim lesson revenue and refunds daily
•Formulates, monitors and reconciles the budget and financial reports for aquatics programs
Managerial & Supervisory
•Manages and supports all Aquatics Team Members
•Completes and documents daily inspections to ensure pool area cleanliness and safety
•Facilitates lifeguard training on pool safety and rescue techniques during monthly in-services
•Completes new hire paperwork, payroll, and scheduling in a timely manner
•Ensures participant and instructor evaluations are completed and documented monthly
•Organizes, communicates, promotes, administers, and supervises the department and swim programming
•Ensures all certifications and LTU classes are current in the department
•Assesses individual performance, provides feedback, and coaches Aquatics Team Members accordingly
•Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations to the General Manager
•Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth
Qualifications
Education & Experience
•4 year College degree (or in the final semesters of the degree)
•Two years of customer service experience
•Two years coaching and/or swim instructor experience
•Two years lifeguarding experience
•Two years of supervisory/management experience
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
•Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid
•NSPF Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred
•Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) preferred
•Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) preferred
•Successfully complete and pass the Life Time Swim Certification
•Successfully complete and pass Aquatics Manager Training
•CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire
