Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Age Group Swim Coach to lead our 11-14 age group swimmers. This coach will be responsible for a diverse group of athletes, ranging from state champions/finalists to swimmers working towards divisional standards. The ideal candidate will embody our motto of “Whatever It Takes,” demonstrating a commitment to supporting, motivating, and inspiring our swimmers both in the pool and in life.

Core responsibilities:

  • Coaching: Oversee the development of the 11-14 age group, ensuring alignment with the Head Coach’s vision and the club’s overall objectives.
  • Culture Development: Foster a positive and supportive team culture, emphasizing the club’s core values and philosophy.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, swimmers, and the broader coaching staff. Provide regular updates on swimmer progress, meet schedules, and other relevant information.
  • Goal Setting and Athlete Development: Develop personalized goal-setting plans for swimmers and monitor their progress, focusing on both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks related to the age group, such as meet entries, attendance tracking, and performance analysis.

  • An effective communicator: You possess the ability to communicate in a clear, effective manner. Whether you’re connecting with athletes, coaches, or parents, you are capable of adjusting your methods to meet the audience where they are.

Requirements

  • Must have, or obtain prior to start date, all relevant USA Swimming coach certifications
  • Must pass background check
  • Preferred, 3+ years USA/YMCA coaching experience
