Under the supervision of the Department of Athletics, this position is responsible for the day to day oversight of the Rolfs Aquatic Center. This position will generally work independently and is self-managed. This position is required to display thorough knowledge of State of Indiana regulations to remain compliant with local, county, and state set standards. American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certifications are required. A Certified Pool Operating license is also strongly preferred. This position will be responsible for the administration of a comprehensive aquatic’s operation.

Responsibilities include daily monitoring of the Rolfs Aquatic Center facility and various aquatic therapy tubs while hiring, training and scheduling staff. The pool will need to accommodate all groups and users including the Notre Dame Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Program, faculty/staff/students as well as community members. Imperative to ensure a solid communication and a working relationship with M/W Swimming and Diving Staff to ensure standards are met. Daily operations will consist of pool set ups and breakdowns, chemical treatments, staff scheduling and ensuring water quality meets all state and local codes and University expectations. Aquatics Director will serve as the Meet Director for all intercollegiate events as well as other meets held in the facility such as club sports, outside rentals, etc. This will include making sure staff is scheduled and events are reserved in the EMS System. On home meet days, the Aquatics Director will be responsible for pool preparations, maximizing the student-athlete/fan experience, ensuring smooth operation of all technological requirements such as the scoreboard, timing system, and software. This position will oversee one full time coordinator, two full time aquatic technicians, and one part time front desk attendant. This position will also assist in the oversight of all lifeguard scheduling to ensure consistency in pool operations and safety. Responsible for all administrative duties to include budgeting, contract submission, employee evaluations, implementing policies and procedures and risk management. Responsible for creating an environment that promotes safety, quality, excellence, and supports the mission of the Athletic Department and University of Notre Dame. Work hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the Notre Dame Athletics. Requires availability on select nights and weekends for events. This position will be required to assist with preparation as well as managing home Swim and Dive Meets and other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years)
• Minimum of 5-6 years of appropriate experience in aquatics required
• Previous facility management experience required
• Ability to work nights and weekends required
• Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with coaches, staff, student-athletes, customers, fans, etc. a necessity
• Proven experience leading and managing a team coupled with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills mandatory
• Extensive certifications to include: Current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED; Water Safety Instructor/Trainer; Lifeguard Instructor/Trainer
• Strong background in instruction and ability to teach instruction required
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot electronic timing systems and scoreboard software
• Possession of valid State of Indiana driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise with collegiate level swimming & diving technology highly desired
• Strong familiarity with building mechanical systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.

The Site Coordinator will help implement Excel’s Athlete Development Model. 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all competitive training groups at Murfreesboro locations.
• Assist in hiring and assigning coaches to competitive training groups.
• Work with Excel staff to transition swim lesson and summer league swimmers to the competitive team.
• Cultivate positive relationships and open communication with swimmers and parents.
• Foster productive partnerships with facility management and local high school coaches.

Position Summary
The Dexter Community Aquatic Club (DCAC) is seeking an experienced leader that possesses the following attributes:

• Commitment to upholding DCAC’s values as laid out in our mission statement
• Possess all USA coach membership qualifications including completion of all required training
• Investment in growing every child as a swimmer, regardless of current swim performance
• Demonstrated ability to actively teach swim stroke technique and effectively coach swimmers with varying abilities ranging from beginner to advanced and willing to pull swimmers out of the water for corrections
  Communicates positively and regularly with athletes
• Has the ability to attend all practices and meets (typically 2 per month) and respond to flexible time demands
• Desire to teach the “why” of what we are doing
• Has experience with learn-to-swim lessons
• Collaborates with the head coach to maintain alignment

Other Duties

• Develops and oversees our Little Piranha’s learn-to-swim program and hires and trains swim lesson instructors
• Works with Dexter Community Education to coordinate learn-to-swim program
• Takes the lead for WISC (local conference summer swim league) and represents DCAC on the WISC board
• Maintains proper certification as required by applicable regulations

• Minimum of 2 years of coaching competitive swimmers at all age group levels in a USA recognized club

The Triangle Aquatic Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit with a mission to develop swimmers for lifelong success. The TAC TITANS Team Manager is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Head Coach and Finance Director in overseeing day-to-day operations of the swim team, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. This role involves administrative, communication, finance, and organizational tasks, with a primary focus on supporting the TITANS coaching staff and TITANS membership. The TITANS Team Manager will collaborate closely with the Head Coach, Operations Director, Aquatics Director, Meet Manager, and Finance Director to maintain a high level of professionalism and performance within the team.

The TAC TITANS swim team is a member of USA Swimming and currently ranked #2 in the Nation. With 1,300 members, communication and organization skills are of the upmost importance for the successful candidate to possess.

Primary Responsibilities

• Team Administration
  • Coordinate and manage swim team registration, including the Team Unify registration module, policy documents and necessary waivers.
  • Maintain accurate membership records, including contact information, attendance, t-shirt sizes, graduation year, etc.
  • Assist in organizing, communicating, and scheduling swim meets, practices and special events.
  • Ensure compliance with all team policies and procedures.
• Communication
  • Act as a primary point of contact for swimmers, parents, and coaching staff.
  • Disseminate important information, announcements and updates to TITANS members and parents.
  • Respond to inquiries and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train Customer Service staff in general TITANS operations and assist with answering member questions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate membership communication across all groups.

  • Push urgent updates to social media and group email distribution lists.

• Financial Management
  • TITANS accounts receivable management:
    • Post all cash and check payments and reconcile each payment for proper chart of accounts.
    • Reconcile all Credit Card and ACH payments to proper chart of accounts.
    • Prepare bank deposits twice weekly (minimum).
    • Monitor past due balances and enforce collection policy.
  • TITANS billing admin management:
    • Ensure accurate monthly membership invoicing.
    • Bill meets, travel, socials, and special events monthly.
    • Adjust accounts as needed due to swimmer movement, etc.
    • Apply dues reduction credits and maintain service credit accounting.
  • Coordinate fundraising efforts and assist Dues Reduction Program, Service Credit Program and Triton Club volunteers.
• Team Travel and Logistics
  • Arrange travel logistics for swim team members and coaches attending away meets.
  • Ensure athletes and Coaches have the necessary accommodations, transportation, and meals.
  • Track travel costs and communicate anticipated travel trip fees to TITANS families.
• Team Support
  • Collaborate with coaching staff and operations staff to facilitate practice schedules and athlete development.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of swimmers.
  • Attend TAC Coaches’ meetings, TLC Meetings, Triton Club Meetings, Service Credit Program Meetings and General TAC Operations Meetings.
  • Ensure proper scheduling and facility space allocation for TITANS practices and events.

  • Serve as backup and/or assistant meet director.

WORK LOCATION

DATES & HOURS 

This is a part-time position and hours will include (subject to change based on the season)

Evening and weekend work is required for this position. This position will also be required to lead the program at travel meets, approximately 1x a month.   Practice times are still approximate and can be discussed with the right candidates.

Part Time Assistant Swimming Coach

Responsibilities are not limited to but include on-deck coaching; assessing and correcting technique; motivating, listening and talking with student-athletes; video analysis and working with underwater camera equipment.
