1.       Responsible for converting prospective students from point of inquiry, through registration, to a motivated and confident new Iowa Lakes student.

2.       Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and help them navigate through the enrollment process while maintaining a high level of customer service throughout all interactions.

3.       Advise prospective students on suitable programs in accordance with their goals and experiences while effectively communicating program requirements.

4.       Create and maintain an accurate roster logging all contacts with prospective students.

5.       Attend college day/night fairs throughout the school year.

6.       Travel extensively in assigned areas with overnight travel.

7.       Collaborate as part of the team responsible for recruiting and enrolling Iowa Lakes students.

8.       Manage, direct and supervise activities and personnel associated with Men’s & Women’s Swimming including recruitment and preparation of student-athletes for intercollegiate competition.

9.       Monitor and nurture student-athletes’ academic progress at the college and assist with placement at four-year colleges and universities.

10.   Comply with NJCAA and ICCAC regulations.

11.   Communicate effectively with staff and students.

The Hillsboro Swim Team has continued to achieve Silver or Bronze Medal status in USA Swimming’s Club Excellence program nearly every year since it first applied in 2006.  This past year it’s Senior program was represented by a Junior Pan Pacs Medalist and Junior Team Member; won the Western Sectional Team Men’s Title; and qualified three 18 and Under athletes for the 2020 Olympic Trials.

A potential candidate should have:

  • 2-3 years coaching experience minimum
  • Open Mind/Willingness to Learn
  • Ability to collaborate and work with the Entire HEAT Coaching Staff on a shared Vision
  • Current and Good Standing on ALL USA Swimming Coaching Requirements

CAA is level 4 recognized club by USA swimming. Run by the Columbia Association we are dedicated to promoting the sport of competitive swimming for all ages through positive motivation and the teaching of proper stoke technique. We strive to produce swimmers who are able to excel in competition at all levels from novice to National. The team currently consists of over 370 swimmers from 6-18.

CAA is looking for individuals who are energetic, knowledgeable, ethical, and able to communicate with parents, fellow coaches and swimmers of all ages. You must be able to work as part of a coaching team and with all Columbia Association team members. Candidates must have or be willing to get all required certification (first aid, CPR, safety training for swim coaches, etc.).

Responsibilities for Age Group coaches include: coaching practices between 2 and 30 hours a week, as well as attending meets on weekends during most months, entering swimmers in desired events for swim meets based on practice agenda’s and performance.

Coach (PD). ASL is looking for a PD who is interested in bringing this established team to the next level
while having the opportunity to create his/her own unique swim club product.
ASL was founded in 1969 and is known throughout the eastern Georgia and western South Carolina region
as a strong, year-round swim team. It is the only USA Swimming program in Augusta, GA and one of three
in the Central Savannah River Area (GA & SC MSA with population approaching 800,000). Although ASL
swims in the GA LSC, given its location on the Georgia /South Carolina border, it shares a healthy
relationship with teams in both states. We offer a guided age-group youth program for children age 6 and up,
from the beginning swimmer to the most competitive and skilled swimmer. Many of our swimmers go on to
swim at the collegiate level, including several in Division I programs. We currently have approximately 200
swimmers with room for future growth. We have three sites to accommodate our swimmers including two in
Augusta, GA (Augusta Aquatic Center (50m Olympic sized pool) and Brigham Center) and one in Aiken, SC
(University of South Carolina Aiken Natatorium).
The PD will be responsible for administering all of the swimming programs for ASL. The PD will be a
certified coach member of USA Swimming and ASCA certified level 3 or higher. He/she shall be
responsible for the management of the club’s coaches, including coaches’ training, delegation of duties,
practice schedule development, and communication with aquatic center staff. The Program Director should
display strong administrative and technology skills as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
He/she shall be responsible for club communication of policies, season training plans, parental communication,
general PR for the team, and other activities in consultation with the ASL board of directors. He/she will
maintain a good reputation, exhibit high moral standards, and set good examples for the team and his/her staff.
The PD reports to the ASL board of directors, is evaluated by the President of ASL, and is responsible for
meeting the agreed upon yearly budget.
Nestled along the banks of the Savannah River, Augusta is the second largest and oldest city in Georgia.
While Augusta has the historic charm of the classic South, it is also currently one of the fastest growing areas
in the United States due to the consolidation of the US Army’s Cyber Command at Fort Gordon coupled with
a vibrant medical community. Augusta boasts dozens of shops and restaurants, cultural, and historic
attractions and is approximately 150 miles east of Atlanta on Interstate 20. Lake Thurmond is minutes away
and is one of the Southeast’s largest and most popular public recreation lakes. Augusta is also centrally
located just two and a half hours from the beach and the mountains. Finally, Augusta is home to the best known
golf tournament in the world, The Masters.
The position’s salary is $50,000 -$65,000 based on training and experience. A relocation package is negotiable.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating USA Swimming-based season training plans (pool and dryland),athlete and staff development, scheduling (training and competition), daily team administration, and operations
(Hy-Tek Team Manager, TeamUnify platform, etc).

Wilmington College (Ohio) is seeking a swimming  intern. The position is a two-year internship.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in the recruiting of prospective student-athletes. They will also be highly motivated, demonstrate ability to work both independently and as part of a team, have strong organizational and time management skills, exhibit excellent oral and written communication, and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The intern will work directly with the head coach(es) of their respective sport, as well as the office of admissions.

Bachelor’s degree is required. Previous coaching and recruiting experience is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Athletics and the Head Coach for Swimming and Diving, the dive coach will discharge the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee aspects of competitive Division III Diving programs. This will include practice and meet coaching, recruiting, and some travel planning associated with the program.

 

  • Mentor and coach student-athletes and assist student-athletes in the development of sport-specific/event-specific skills and an understanding of strategies necessary to succeed.

 

  • Participate in committees and provide service to the Department, University, and Profession.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and past diving/coaching experience required
  • Minimum 2 seasons of coaching diving or diving experience as a student-athlete in collegiate competition
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to travel and work a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to work with student employees
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the needs of diverse faculty, staff, students, and university community
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues for program growth and enhancement
  • Possess current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or ability to immediately obtain
  • Valid state driver’s license

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master’s Degree
  • Collegiate success, both coaching and competing, in 1m and 3m boards
  • Previous coaching experience in 1m and 3m boards

Additional Information

This is a part-time, ten-month, term-appointed, position. The start date will be negotiated with the final candidate and will start no later than October 1, 2019. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
