The world will be introduced to the next generation of synchronised swimming talents at the 14th edition of the FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships, organised in Helsinki (FIN) from July 30 – August 3, 2014.
Junior national teams (aged 15 to 18 years old) from all around the world will gather to compete in the following events: Solo, Duet, Team and Free Combination (preliminaries and finals) and a figure competition.
More than 260 synchro swimmers representing 34 nations will be represented in Helsinki: Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.
In the last edition in Volos, Greece in 2012, Russia swept the four golds on offer. The teams of Canada, Japan, Spain and Ukraine also climbed the podium.
