Thurmont, Maryland’s Remington Oland has announced his verbal commitment to University of Cincinnati for 2017-18.

Oland is a senior at Catoctin High School, where he was the runner-up in both the 200 IM and 100 back at the 2016 MPSSAA 3A/2A/1A State Swim Championships. He swims year-round for Frederick County Y Tidal Force. He has qualified for YMCA nationals in each of the last three years, and has achieved Summer Juniors (100m back) and Winter Juniors (200y back) time standards as well.
Oland finaled in the 100y back and 200/400y IM at 2016 YMCA Short Course Nationals and in the 50/100m back and 200m IM at 2016 YMCA Long Course Nationals. His top times include:
