2022 FINA SHORT COURSE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

This post contains the results for the SwimSwam Pick’em contest from the third day of the 2022 SC World Championships in Melbourne, Australia. The third finals session of the meet had the most finals races up to this point in the meet, which of course resulted in the highest scores yet for the competition. Here are the event winners from day three of the 2022 SC World Champs:

  • Women’s 100 free: Emma McKeon (AUS) – 50.77
  • Men’s 100 free: Kyle Chalmers (AUS) – 45.16
  • Women’s 200 fly: Dakota Luther (USA) – 2:03.37
  • Men’s 200 fly: Chade le Clos (RSA) – 1:48.27
  • Women’s 100 breast: Lilly King (USA) – 1:02.67
  • Men’s 100 breast: Nic Fink (USA) – 55.88
  • Men’s 400 free: Kieran Smith (USA) – 3:34.38
  • Women’s 4×50 free relay: United States – 1:34.23
  • Men’s 4×50 free relay: Australia – 1:23.44

There were a few surprises in the session as well. One such curveball was Lithuanian breaststroke superstar Ruta Meilutyte getting DQ’d in the final of the women’s 100 breast. Nearly every contestant who entered into the Pick’ems had Meilutyte finishing either first or second in the event, so that ended up being a big miss for most of us.

Without further ado, here are the scores from day 3 of the Pick’em contest. The winner of day three was screen name “Pillow,” congratulations! However, “Pillow” is not eligible to receive prizes, which means the second-highest scorer, “BellSwim1” will receive the prize for day three. Congrats!

Here are the total scores through the first three days of the meet. Leading the way at the halfway point is “BellSwim1.”
