Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club, better known as Fleet has been one of the top performing year round clubs in the Gulf region for over 40 years. Combining a strong history with a solid base of young swimmers is a source of pride for our club, swimmers, and staff. We find ourselves in need of our next visionary leader who will be given the opportunity to place his/her own stamp on the future of USA Swimming.

- Located in Cypress, Texas, 77429 – North Western Houston
- Healthy Balance sheet that is debt free
- Established Office Administrator in place
- Engaged Board that leaves the Wet Side development to our staff
- Fully owned facility including a 50×25 meter outdoor pool, Dryland training facility, locker rooms and offices,
- 25-yard indoor pool & learn to swim academy
- Over 400 swimmers with room to grow
- Experienced and driven coaching staff focused on the long term growth of Fleet
The Vision
To firmly establish Fleet as the #1 year round swim club in the Gulf Region through developing more Tags, Sectional, Jr. National, National, and Olympic Trial swimmers. Success is measured by increasing the number of qualifying swimmers in these five key events and establishing that Fleet has more qualifying swimmers than other clubs in the Gulf. Increasing the Fleet placement in each of these events and becoming the consistently highest placing Gulf club in all major events within 5 years.
Improving Fleets club standing in the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program, our goal is to achieve and maintain GOLD level club status within 5 years.
To expand our reach and size by building towards the future to reinforce the strong community connection of our club.
The Opportunity
- Head Coach of a premier year round swimming program
- Full ownership to develop and establish the long term vision for the club
- Leadership of a highly qualified staff of professional coaches
- Being the face of our Club with USA Swimming and beyond
- Partnership with a positive future focused and results oriented Board of Directors
Qualifications
- Minimum ASCA Level 4 Certification
- Prior Head Coaching experience with a year round USA Swimming organization
- University Degree preferred
- Knowledgeable in a variety of academic areas including physiology, principles of physical training, psychology, teaching methods and communication
- USA Swimming registered & able to pass USA Swimming background check
- Passion, Positivity, and the drive to be #1
- Technique focused with an eye towards teaching and long term results vs. short term success
- Strong communication skills and vision with strong interpersonal skills to allow for effective communication with coaches, swimmers, parents, and officials
- Ability to speak clearly and hold all age level swimmers’ attention.
- Desire to work with all age groups and champion ongoing recruitment
Position Details
- Salary provided is commensurate with this position being a destination vs. a stepping stone
- Long term retention bonus
- Performance bonus tied to results
- Full Time 12-month employment, this is a year round positon
- Health Insurance and other benefits associated with being a full time employee
- Relocation assistance provided
- Start Date negotiable – position is currently vacant
- No State Income tax – we are in Texas and that Rocks!
