Greg Meehan: “Our Goal is to Get on the Podium” (VIDEO)

With the 2016 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships nearly upon us, Stanford head coach Greg Meehan and senior breaststroker Sarah Haase speak to their expectations for the meet ahead.

Meehan in particular puts out his goal for the program: getting on the podium. And Stanford definitely looks ready to do that.

A quick look at the psych sheets will immediately make it clear how prepared Stanford is for a big meet. In addition to their four individual #1 seeds, split between Lia Neal and Ella Eastin, they’ve got a number of other top 3 seeds spread between Haase, Janet Hu, and Ally Howe.

The Cardinal also has huge scoring potential in five relays, and are the favorites to win both the 200 and 400 medleys.

NCAA, American, and U.S. Open records beware: Stanford’s coming, and they’re ready to battle.
