Mina Ada Solaker from Istanbul, Turkey has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Denver for 2022-23.

Huge thanks to everyone who have supported me throughout the process especially my parents, close friends and teachers. Everything about Denver felt like the perfect fit and I can’t wait to train under the incredible staff and along side the amazing athletes. GO PIOS!!!!!”
Solaker is a member of the Turkish National Team. She trains with Galatasaray Spor Kulübü and specializes in IMs. She won the Open 400 IM at the Turkcell Youth and Open Long Course National Team Selection in March, going a lifetime-best time of 4:55.20. She also earned a PB in the 200 IM, placing third with 2:21.62, and in the 200 fly (2:26.04 for 17th).
In December, Solaker competed at the Turkey Club Junior and Open Short Course Championships, where she swam the 100 breast and all three IM distances. She placed 3rd in the 400 IM (4:47.45), 4th in the 100 IM (1:04.56), 4th in the 200 IM (2:16.71), and 11th in the 100 breast (1:13.41) in the open divisions, notching PBs in each event.
