TSE Consulting has launched a unique management conference for sports leaders from around the world and across different sports. The conference, called ‘The Academy’, will take place on May 27-28, 2015, at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. This is a new offering for Presidents, Board Members, Secretary Generals and Senior Managers of sport worldwide. In an intimate and inspiring atmosphere, participants will discover new management solutions that can create innovative opportunities for themselves and their organisations.
TSE Consulting has launched this new platform as a result of its experience working with sport at the national, continental and international level worldwide. Through its various projects, across many different sports, TSE has found a continual need for organisations to explore new approaches in their management. For the first time, a conference will be dedicated not only to speaking about what challenges sport face and looking at what sport is doing, but rather at looking to different industries to see what can be learnt and used by sport. The Academy is a platform for every ambitious person working in sport that is looking for new insights and the right tools to put those insights into action, no matter what the size of their organisation, the resources they have, the sport they are managing or the country they come from.
Lars Haue-Pedersen, TSE Consulting Managing Director, commented: “We are often asked by our clients where they can go as national sports leaders to learn something new they can use in their own context – we never had a response, so we decided to create the platform. We are very excited as this is just a first step for us in our commitment to taking sports management to new levels.”
The conference will be hosted in Lausanne, Switzerland – the Olympic Capital and home of international sport. As the centre of sports administration around the world, the international context of the conference will benefit from the experience and network that exists in Lausanne.
Patrice Iseli, Head of Sports for City of Lausanne, commented: “We look forward to welcoming participants of ‘The Academy’ to Lausanne. As the Olympic Capital and home of international sport, we have many new and innovative ideas that are born here. The Academy is the latest of these initiatives and we are extremely proud to be the host city.”
