Jealous much, Billy? 😉

He’s retiring so relatively young for this era in the sport. Still, I’m glad he went out on such a high note with that relay performance!

two things:

1 – super late relay start in that photo – no wonder stanford dominates texas in relays at ncaas.

2 – soni is way out of this guy’s league. he must be hiding something amazing under that speedo.

Billy, if you had looked at the caption it says that its at Pan Pacs 2010. Im not sure if you’re a big follower of swimming or not, but the USA was really far ahead once Ricky dove in. There was no reason for an early start.

the goal is not to merely win, it is to dominate. if the team wanted to dominate relays as stanford does, the exchange should have been faster. in fact, stanford’s exchanges are so great that there is no increased risk when pushing the envelope. unfortunately for texas, their exchanges are pedestrian in comparison.

Ricky Berens is my inspiration by far! He got the gold for the 4*200 relay! If it wasn’t for him, they would’ve gotten Bronze, or nothing at all! It would mean the world to me if I ever met him.
