Texas A&M Associate Head Coach Ryan Mallam Calls Out Texas Coaching Staff in Ice Bucket Challenge

Texas A&M men’s swimming associate head coach Ryan Mallam has done his duty to fulfill the Ice Bucket Challenge, and has called out the Texas Longhorns coaching staff, specifically naming men’s head coach Eddie Reese, women’s head coach Carol Capitani, men’s assistant coach Kris Kubik, and women’s assistant Roric Fink.

The challenge involves dumping an ice cold bucket of water on your own head, and then calling out others who have to either do the same, or make a donation to ALS.

Check out Mallam’s video below:

The ALS Association has raised over $13.3 million since beginning the Ice Bucket Challenge on July 29th, which is as compared to $1.7 million in the same period last year and from 259,505 new donors. Who says “social media activism” doesn’t have an impact?

We here at SwimSwam, in honor of our support to ALS, have made a few little changes around the site and on our social media accounts to support the challenge, and have also chipped in $100 to the ALS Association. Support of ALS holds a special spot for swimming, as many diagnosed with ALS use swimming as a way to remain active without putting undue stress on joints.

For more, visit the ALS Association website here to donate.

Tim, although this website is meant for swimming related articles. I do not believe the rivalry they were referring to is only swimming related. Texas A&M and The University of Texas are made up of many greater aspects.
Each school is great in their own ways.
