Full Time Age Group Coach

Pearland Aquatics is seeking a passionate and excited full time Age Group Coach.
Pearland Aquatics is a Board run 501C3 club that is part of the Gulf Swimming LSC. In one of the fastest growing suburbs of Houston, the club is located in Pearland, TX just 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. PEAK has 240+ competitive swimmers ranging from age group with Texas Age Group Championships (TAGS) times to senior with several Junior National qualifying swimmers. PEAK also has a boy who represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the 16th FINA World Swimming Championships. The club utilizes multiple practice sites including the City of Pearland’s 25 yard by 55 meter Natatorium as well as a local high school’s 8 land 25 yard pool. In addition to its regular practice schedule, PEAK hosts four meets each year at the Pearland Natatorium.
The Age Group coach will report directly to the Head Coach and will be the lead coach with our top Age Group swimmers.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1) Work directly with the Head Coach and the Age Group coaching staff to design a training plan that will foster long term success.
2) Create a training plan for assigned groups plus oversee the training plan of the other training groups.
3) Plan meet schedule, submit entries for athletes, and communicate with group through Team Unify website.
4) Plan and implement group parent meetings.
5) Meet with coaches during office hours.
6) Attend and participate in LSC meetings.
PEAK is looking for a coach with a minimum ASCA level 2 certification. The applicant must have at least two years of successful age group coaching experience. The applicant should be familiar with Meet Manager, Team Manager, and Team Unify, and should have good communication and organizational skills to create strong, positive relationships with the swimmers and parents. The applicant should possess a great willingness to grow as a coach and must be registered in good standing with USA Swimming and have all certifications current.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience, but is competitive with clubs in the LSC. PEAK will pay for all USA Swimming certifications, ASCA membership, one clinic a year which will either be the ASCA World clinic or the Gulf Swimming LSC clinic which is held every April in Galveston, TX.
