Queenslanders Emily Seebohm, Cameron McEvoy and Brittany Elmslie will be among many Australian National Team members visiting different swim centres throughout the country during October.
Swimming Australia has created the Go Swim Month to run throughout the month. The program has been designed to promote youth involvement in swimming clubs around the country. During the Go Swim Month clubs will be hosting Go Swim Days which are events that individual clubs will run to not only promote the sport to potential members, but to celebrate the sport with their team.
Olympic silver medalist Emily Seebohm will be joining the Redlands Swim Club as they celebrate Go Swim Month, “Some of my fondest memories in swimming are of club nights and intra club racing, and GO Swim Days are a great way to celebrate the sport of swimming. I can’t wait to be part of it again this year,” said Seebohm.
“I will be heading out to Redlands Swimming Club on Saturday 5 October and I know that many of the team from this year’s world championships in Barcelona are looking forward to getting back to some of the local and regional clubs and meeting all the kids.”
