2024 NCSA SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sean Green swam to a lifetime best in the boys 200 fly en route to a win on night 3 in Indianapolis. Green swam a 2:01.22, faster than his previous best of a 2:02.47 from last summer’s Junior Nationals.

Green is committed to Georgia for next fall and had a busy night, swimming the 200 free earlier in the night as he was 2nd in a 1:49.68. That was just off his best time of a 1:49.35 that he swam during a time trial at last month’s US Olympic Trials.

Finishing ahead of Green in the 200 free was Jason Zhao who touched in a 1:49.38. Zhao, who will represent the US in the event later this summer at Junior Pan Pacs, has a best time of a 1:48.60 that he swam last September while representing the US at the World Junior Championships.

The final winner of the night on the boys side was Samuel Wolf who touched in a 27.96 in the 50 breast, the lone sub-28 second swim. Jake Wang was 2nd in a 28.10.

Sydney Schoeck highlighted the girls side posting a huge lifetime best of a 4:47.39 in the 400 IM. She won the event by over four and a half seconds as Kate Braeger was 2nd in a 4:51.71. Schoeck’s previous best time was a 4:49.44 from May. She now has dropped over 10 seconds in the event this season as her lifetime best prior to this summer was a 4:57.84.

Charlotte Crush earned another win at the meet posting a 1:00.63 in the 100 back. Crush swam a personal best 59.86 in the event for 12th at US Olympic Trials last month. That was her highest finish at the meet. Ellison Schrank was 2nd tonight behind Crush in a 1:01.76.

Kayla Duran won the girls 50 breast in a 32.19, just out-touching Chloe Diner who swam a 32.23.
