Nicky Lane, a current high school senior from Hackettstown, New Jersey, has committed to swim for Division I Rider University. Lane will graduate from high school in spring 2020 and join the Broncs class of 2024.
Lane is a current swimmer for Lakeland Hills Family YMCA. At the 2018 Eastern Senior Zone Championships, Lane placed 4th in both the 100 LCM freestyle (53.85) and 100 LCM butterfly (57.97). He is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and has qualified for YMCA Nationals and Winter Junior Nationals.

At the 2020 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships with the Broncs, Lane would have placed 8th in the 100 butterfly with his current best time of 49.96. Future teammate Justin Carey won the 100 butterfly with a time of 47.83.

- 100 backstroke – 53.88
- 100 butterfly – 49.96
- 200 IM – 1:57.14
This year at the MAAC Championships, the Broncs placed 1st as a team under head coach Steve Fletcher—nearly 200 points ahead of the 2nd place team.
The team’s men also swept the podium in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays. The team also received multiple CSCAA Academic Honors.
Lane will begin his swimming career at Rider University fall 2020.
