Connor Wright, a current high school senior from Nolensville, Tennessee, has committed to swim for Wingate University—a Division II school in North Carolina. Wright will graduate from Ravenwood High School in spring 2020 and join the Bulldogs’ class of 2024.
Wright is a current swimmer for Excel Aquatics. Earlier this year at the TISCA Tennessee State Championships, Wright placed 5th in the 100 butterfly (50.65).

At the 2020 Bluegrass Mountain Conference and Carolinas Championships with the Bulldogs, Wright would have had multiple finals performances with his current best times. He would have placed 9th in the 200 butterfly (1:53.64), 11th in the 1650 freestyle (16:34.59) and 13th in the 100 butterfly (50.55).

This year at the Bluegrass Mountain Championships, the Bulldogs placed 4th as a team. Under coach Kirk Sanocki, the team garnered 68 All-American recognitions and 26 swimmers qualified for the NCAA DII Championships. The team also placed in the CSCAA top 15 for the season.
Wright will begin his swimming career at Wingate University fall 2020.
