The Princeton women’s swimming and diving team, which has won 11 of the last 15 Ivy League Championships, knows it has a daunting challenge facing it this season. Princeton will compete only twice at home and has two difficult trips to Boston as it looks to recapture the Ivy League Championship.
Princeton will open the season Nov. 7-8 at the Ohio State Open, a two-day meet that will also include Denison College. Ohio State placed fourth last year at the Big Ten Championships.
Following the Ivy League opener Nov. 21 against both Penn and Cornell — the Tigers’ lone home Ivy meets of the season — Princeton will send selected swimmers to the Winter National Championships Dec. 3-6 in Greensboro. The rest of the team will head to Providence for the weekend to compete at the Brown Invitational.
Princeton will honor its Class of 2015 Jan. 9 when it hosts N.C. State at DeNunzio Pool. The Wolfpack is coming off a fourth-place finish in the ACC and a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. That will be Princeton’s final competition before its annual H-Y-P meet, held Jan. 30-31 at Harvard.
Following the regular season finale at Columbia (Feb. 6), Princeton will head back to Harvard to compete at the Ivy League Championships.
The NCAA Championships will be held March 19-21 in Greensboro, N.C.
