Day two finals kick off in Iowa City at 7 p.m central time. Texas is going into day two with a huge lead and is projected to extend that lead over Cal.
Some of the big headlines for day two finals
- Can Cal better their 200 medley relay American record that they set in prelims?
- Will Chase Kalisz be able to repeat as the 400m IM champ?
- Can the Texas squad muster the maximum 95 points in the 100 fly?
- Can Chuck Katis take down three time defending champion Kevin Cordes in the 100 breast?
- Murphy or Nolan in the 100 back?

Kevin Cordes is the three time defending champion in the 100 breast. He’s going into the 100 breast final seeded second tonight behind Cal’s Chuck Katis.

Jack Conger is seeded second in the 100 fly behind Schooling. He’ll also be swimming the 100 back final tonight.

Clay Youngquist took the third seed in the 200 freestyle with a 1:32.85. He’ll be in lane three beside Cristian Quintero tonight.

Louisville’s Trevor Carroll anchored their 200 medley relay this morning and will do so again tonight. He’ll also be on the 800 free relay.
