Katie Ledecky, the 2012 London Olympic gold medalist in the 800 freestyle, can add the St. Patrick’s Day Parade “Division B Marshal” to her list of honors.
The USA Swimming star and Stone Ridge sophomore turned 16 on yesterday and headlined the St. Patrick’s Day Parade as a Division B Marshal in the Washington, D.C.

springbrook…thanks! I corrected.
Congratulations to Ledecky — a true superstar. But it’s amusing to see that the parade organizers misspelled her title — she should be identified as a “Division B Marshal” (not “Marshall”). At least that’s how the Rose Parade does it: http://www.tournamentofroses.com/TheRoseParade/TheParade/GrandMarshal.aspx
Both spellings appear appropriate; “marshall” is more British: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshal
