NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Women’s Swimming defeated Campbell 150.5-111.5 on Saturday afternoon at the JC Scrap Chandler Pool.

ODU opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay as the team of Kiersten DonnellyJadyn WhittTetiana Yevminova and Lauren Masters won with a time of 3:59.01. The squad of Linnea Kallebo, Bridget Morris Larkin, Angela Sicaja and Laila Webb took third in 4:02.39.

In the 1000 freestyle, Sophia Kapla finished second in 10:48.87 while Anna Eberle took third in 11:11.74.

Masters earned her first individual win of the day with a time of 1:57.29 in the 200 free. Kristi Mosley finished third in 1:59.69.

ODU swept the 50 backstroke as Donnelly earned the win in 27.09, Samantha Allred finished second in 27.37 and Bella Pachek took third in 27.63.

In the 50 breaststroke, Morris Larkin was second with a time of 31.05 and Whitt third in 31.08.

Yevminova and Sicaja went 1-2 in the 100 butterfly. Yevminova won with a time of 58.29 while Sicaja had a time of 1:00.20.

Pachek notched a second place spot in the 50 free with a time of 24.58 and finished second in the 100 free with a time of 53.96. Masters took third in the 100 free with a time of 54.14.

Donnelly earned another win for ODU with a time of 58.25 in the 100 backstroke as Kallebo followed in second in 1:00.03.

Whitt finished second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.40 and Morris Larkin took third in 1:09.61.

In the 500 free, Kapla finished second in 5:19.22 while Mallory Mackay finished third in 5:22.00.

Donnelly earned another win in the 50 fly in 26.48, as Sicaja finished third in 50 butterfly with a time of 27.54.

ODU won the final event of the day, the 400 freestyle relay, as Yevminova, Emma Seidel, Pachek and Masters won with a time of 3:35.12.

The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 26 against Gardner-Webb in Norfolk.

NORFOLK, VA. – Old Dominion took the 2024-25 season opener 150.5-111.5 over visiting Campbell on Saturday.

The teams split the day’s 14 events, with each squad topping seven races apiece, but the Monarchs were two of the top three finishers in 12 different heats, including a 1-2-3 performance in the 50 back to take the dual win.

Katarina Gagnon was one of three Camels to earn two wins on the day for the Camels, including the 1,000 free with a time of 10:40.72 and the 500 free, turning in a 5:11.87.

Caroline Lucas also took back-to-back first place finishes in the 50 and 100 free, notching times of 24.30 and 53.47, respectively, while Arabella Butera claimed both the 50 (31.01) and the 100 (1:07.53) breaststroke. Campbell also swept the top three spots in the 200 IM, paced by Lauren McLean (2:12.39), Julia Garcia (2:12.50) and Butera (2:13.37).

Next up, Campbell will head to East Carolina on Friday, October 25. The Camels will make their home debut on November 9 against Liberty.
