NCAP’s Emma Klein Commits to Colgate Raiders for 2017-18

Emma Klein of Alexandria, Virginia, gave her verbal accord to the Colgate University Raiders for 2017-18. “Colgate University is a great school with a beautiful campus coupled with a great team- I cannot wait to be a Raider! Go ‘gate!”

Klein swims for Bishop Ireton High School and Nation’s Capital Swim Club. At the recent Washington Metropolitan Prep School Swim Dive League Championships, she placed fourth in the 100 fly and seventh in the 100 back, and swam on both Bishop Ireton’s free relays. The following week at the 2017 Washington Metros, Klein competed individually in the 200 IM, placing tenth, and contributed to all three Bishop Ireton relays.

Klein had a strong junior year, earning best times in everything she swam during long course season. Most recently she has improved in her 50y free, 100y back, and 200y IM. Her best SCY times are:

  • 50 fly – 26.23
  • 100 fly – 57.51
  • 50 free – 25.11
  • 100 free – 53.83
  • 50 back – 28.16
  • 100 back – 59.83
  • 200 IM – 2:10.71

Klein will join commit Madison Sullivan in the Colgate class of 2021.
