Sprinter Madison Sullivan Sends Verbal Commitment To Colgate

The Colgate women have picked up their latest verbal commitment from Madison Sullivan, a swimmer from Pack Swim Team of Pittsford. Sullivan has committed to join the Raiders next fall after graduating from Honeoye Falls Lima Senior High School.

Sullivan was a 2-time champion at the 2015 NYSPHSAA Section 5 Class B Championships, where she won the 50 and 100 freestyles. She also qualified to swim at the 2016 NCSA Spring Championships, where she competed in the 50 free, 100 free, and 50 fly. Her 50 fly time of 28.26 was a new personal best.

Sullivan’s Top Times:

Event Best Time
50 free 23.89
100 free 52.69
200 free 1:59.15
50 fly 28.26
100 back 1:03.79

Sullivan should be an immediate factor for Colgate at the Patriot League Championship meet. Her best time of 23.89 in the 50 free would’ve been fast enough to score in the B-final at the conference meet. She’s also within tenths of the 52.09 it took to score in the 100 free last season.

At Colgate, Sullivan will team up with Megan Gallagher, Farrin Saba, Olivia Castro, Jessica Cauley, and Maddy Fitzgerald, who both swam sprint free at last season’s Patriot League meet.
