Navy Scores Verbal Commitment from Bolles School’s Megan McGrath (2022)

Jacksonville, Florida’s Megan McGrath has announced her verbal commitment to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. She will join Annie Jardina in the class of 2026.

McGrath is a rising senior at Bolles School. She swims for her school and for the club team Bolles School Sharks and is a Winter Juniors qualifier in the 100/200 fly and 100/200 free. She placed 3rd in the 200 free (1:49.31) and 5th in the 100 fly (55.06) in November at the 2020 FHSAA Class 1A State Championships. Both were best times. A week later, she competed at the BSS Senior meet and added new PBs in the 500 free, 100 back, and 200 fly. She kicked off the 2021 LCM season with best times in the 100 fly (1:02.54), 200 fly (2:19.27), 50 free (27.56), 100 free (57.97), 200 free (2:04.90), and 400 free (4:27.01).

Her best times would have scored in the A finals of the 200 free and 200 fly and the B finals of the 100 free and 100 fly at 2020 Patriot League Championships.
