Navy Picks Up Ally Michaels of the Academy Bullets

Ally Michaels of the Academy Bullets in the Chicago area has verbally committed to the United States Naval Academy for next fall.

Michaels is a versatile talent out of Illinois, who primarily swims backstroke and IM’s. That said, she’s a very strong butterflier and mid-distance freestyler, as well.

TOP TIMES

  • 50 back – 26.96
  • 100 back – 56.51
  • 200 back – 2:01.17
  • 100 fly – 56.94
  • 200 fly – 2:03.75
  • 200 IM – 2:06.03
  • 400 IM – 4:25.67

Michaels will be an immediate boost to a strong Navy team that won last year’s Patriot League Championships in dominant fashion. With her current best times, she would’ve qualified for A finals in the 400 IM and 100 back and B finals in the 200 back, 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 IM at last year’s meet.

Michaels joins Ashley Boddiford, also a backstroker/IM’er, in Navy‘s class of 2021.
