CLEVELAND, Ohio – Robert Hill of the Missouri State men’s swimming and diving team was named Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week announced by the league on Wednesday (Nov. 11).
Hill, a freshman from Kansas City, Mo., swam the 14th fastest time in the country at 48.80 in the 100-backtroke in his first ever collegiate meet against Missouri.
“The best part about it is that he has things he can still improve on,” Missouri State head swimming and diving coach Dave Collins said. “Once we get to where we are competing more regularly, it’s going to be exciting to see what Robbie does and he’s just scratching the surface. He’s going to be a heck of a college athlete.”
Hill also swam in the 200-yard medley relay and placed second in the 100-yard butterfly and fourth in the 200-yard IM in the dual against Mizzou on Nov. 7.
The Bears will continue the 2020-21 season in the coming weeks when the remainder of the schedule is finalized.
