Ainsley Krug of Lawrence, Kansas has announced her verbal commitment to Missouri State University. Krug swims for Ad Astra Area Aquatics as well as attending Lawrence Free State High School.

Krug will provide versatility and depth in multiple events for the Bears next year. She competed at the 2019 NCSA Spring Junior National Championships, swimming best times in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 fly. This summer at the Champions Series-Jenks she was a finalist in the 200 back, finishing 19th in finals in a time of 2:25.33.

- 400 IM – 4:37.25
Last year, at the 2019 Missouri Valley Championships, Krug’s best times would have put her in the B-final of the 400 IM, as well as the C-final of the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 fly. Missouri State is coming off a season in which they won the MVC Swimming and Diving Championships by over 100 points. It was their 15th title since 2003.
