Robbie Hill of Kansas City, Missouri has signed to swim for Missouri State University beginning in the fall of 2020. Hill swims for Oak Park High School as well competing for Club North Swimming.
Last year at the MSHSAA Boys State Class 1 Championships Hill took third in both the 100 yard fly (52.77) and 200 yard IM (1:56.96). Over the summer he competed at the Speedo Champions Series – Jenks where he made two A-finals, taking seventh in the 400 meter IM (4:50.94) as well as the 200 meter back (2:13.09).
At the 2019 MSHSAA Boys State Class 1 Championships Hill won both the 200 IM and 100 backstroke. In the IM he won in 1:48.62, lowering his best time by two seconds and setting a Missouri Class 1 state record. He also swam the backstroke in record breaking time, setting the Class 1 and overall Missouri state record in a time of 48.98.
I’m excited to announce my verbal commitment to Missouri State University, where I will continue my academic and athletic career. After getting to know the coaches and the team it was the obvious choice.

Last year at the Mid-American Conference Championships Hill would have earned spots in the A-final of both the 200 IM and 100 back, as well as qualifying for the B-final in the 400 IM, 100 breast, and 50 free. He will be joining an IM group that last year was led by Artur Osvath (1:45.91) and Thomas Heye (1:49.56).
