Madi Mintenko has been on a role this week in Austin and continued her momentum on night 3. She won two events, kicking off the session with a 1:54.02 200 backstroke for the win. That was over a two second drop from her previous best of a 1:56.62.
She concluded the session with another win touching in a 51.85 in the 100 fly. That was just off her lifetime best of a 51.50.
After winning the 200 free last night, Ella Cosgrove swam to a win in the 500 free touching in a 4:43.05. She has been as fast as a 4:37.98.
Veronica Black posted a best time en route to a win in the 200 breast earlier this week and earned the breaststroke sweep touching in another best time in the 100. She swam a 1:00.22 to earn the win, improving upon her personal best of a 1:00.41 that she swam in February.
NC State commit Gavin Keogh highlighted the boys side, touching in a 1:40.77 in the 200 backstroke. That was just off his best of a 1:40.53 that he swam to win the event at Winter Juniors- West. Keogh will be a welcome addition to NC State as it took a 1:40.13 to make NCAAs in the event this year.
Hudson Newsom swam to a lifetime best winning the 100 breast in a 54.18. That improved from his previous best of a 54.79 from February. He has made huge strides this season as his personal best entering the season was a 57.60.
The 100 fly was a close battle but Jordan Falls earned the win in a 47.56. That was almost a full second drop for the Air Force commit as his previous best was a 48.49 from Winter Juniors. His lifetime best coming into the season was a 49.22.
Gherman Prudnikau won the 500 free in a 4:22.89 to finish just ahead of Max Hatcher who touched in a 4:23.25. Prudnikau dropped from his previous best of a 4:24.44.
