Bryn Lohrberg has committed to swim for the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs women’s swim team starting next season. Lohrberg hails from the Aquatic Club of Elkhorn, where she has made her mark on the record books of this Elkhorn, NE-based team. According to the club’s site, Lohrberg currently holds the team’s “15 & Over Girls” short course records in the 50y freestyle (24.22), 100y freestyle (52.72), 200y freestyle (1:59.61), and 100y breaststroke (1:07.41).

On the high school swimming scene, Lohrberg contributed significantly to her Elkhorn South High School team at the 2014 Nebraska State High School Championships.  At that meet, Lohrberg clocked the following times in the finals:

50y freestyle – 24.23, 3rd place
100y freestyle – 53.35, 5th place

Lohrberg also has had some impressive breaststroke swims in short course, where her best times of 2014 were 1:07.29 in the 100y distance and 2:28.72 in the 200y event.  Important to note is that both her 100y backstroke time from the State Championships and her 100y breaststroke best time would have positioned her in the B-Final of each event at last year’s Big 12 Conference Championships.

With seven seniors set to graduate in the Spring, the Horned Frogs will almost immediately benefit from the multiple event point-scoring capabilities of Lohrberg in the 2015-16 season.
