The Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN), the governing body of the 52 national European Swimming Federations, has released its initial schedule of events for 2017. Covering the disciplines of diving, synchronized swimming, open water and competitive pool, the calendar contains 9 total events, of which 2 have specific dates listed as still ‘to be determined.’

As for the swimming events, the 2017 Arena European Junior Swimming Championships will be taking place June 27th through July 2nd in Bergen, Norway. This falls a good 9 days prior to the start of this year’s edition of the same meet, which took place July 6th-10th in Hódmezővásárhely, Hungary.

2017’s version of the European Junior Open Water Swimming is slated for July 28th-30th in Marseille, France, while the 2017 European Short Course Swimming Championships will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark spanning December 13th-17th.

Belgrade, Norway is set to host both the European Junior Synchronized Swimming Championships and the Women’s European Junior Water Polo Championships, which will overlap by several days. The former is scheduled for August 23rd-27th, while the latter is set to take place August 23rd-September 3rd.
